Supports the reduction of the automation backlog within Application operations under guidance from senior team members, growing into ownership of Infrastructure-as-Code/CI-CD delivery and the operation of the company’s on-premise AI platform.
Responsibilities
Support the reduction of the automation backlog (currently ca. 40 open requests, some pending for over 600 days), starting with smaller, well-scoped items
Assist in implementing IaC and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation
Support onboarding of new platforms – incl. the company’s on-premise AI platform (consolidation of 6 cloud AI services into one GDPR-compliant solution with data sovereignty) and ZEUS Time Tracking
Contribute to the team project “AI Chatbot”
Help maintain and modernize existing infrastructure documentation (asset management)
Contribute to the team goal AFAR (AI Feature Adoption Rate): at least 3 AI-supported Confluence pages
Requirements
Between 2 and 3 years of professional experience as an Infrastructure & Ops Automation Engineer or in a similar role.
Hands-on IT operations, scripting, or automation experience; willingness to be trained and to grow into the role
Scripting skills (PowerShell/Python), interest in CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as-Code
Curiosity about AI-supported tooling in IT operations
Comfortable asking for guidance on ambiguous, cross-departmental automation requests
Willingness to participate in the team’s on-call rotation, per Standard Operating Documents (SODs), once trained on scope
Good written and spoken English. German is a plus
