Job Description
🚀 The Job Mission
As a I&C Design Engineer, you’ll support the design and development of instrumentation and control systems on a major nuclear project. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a highly regulated industry while working in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating system documentation for I&C functional design.
- Support the creation of Detailed Functional Diagrams (DFD) to define system operations.
- Ensure consistency between I&C, electrical, and layout designs.
- Contribute to defining I&C functional requirements and control logic specifications.
- Help review supplier designs and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure system designs meet safety and operational needs.
- Support process improvements, innovation, and quality initiatives.
- Assist in reviewing supplier deliverables such as P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and component lists.
Qualifications
🛠 Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience within Instrumentation and Controls.
- 1–3 years of experience in I&C design and engineering.
- Experience in writing and reviewing Detailed Functional Diagrams (DFD).
- Experience in a regulated industry (oil & gas, aviation, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Visio.
✔️ Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of EPR system design and I&C architecture.
- Experience with tools such as Conduite, Virtual MCR, 3DX, Easydoc, Cameleon.
- Understanding of RADIV, V-Cycle, and V&V Testing
- Experience in the nuclear sector
- Familiarity with I&C systems such as SCADA, Schneider M580, Panorama E2.
- Understanding of diesel generator electrical systems.
- Experience on an operational plant or industrial site.
