We are looking for a Junior HR Specialist to join our Human Resources team based in Istanbul. This is a hands-on, operations-focused role. You will support a defined group of business units, handling the reporting and coordination for their people agenda. You will take your priorities from what those teams need next, and make sure nothing waits on you.
Job Description:
- Work alongside your business accounts, taking on the operational and reporting workload so their agenda keeps moving
- Build a working knowledge of the teams you support, including their structure, roles, and hiring plans, and be a dependable point of contact for their day-to-day HR operations
- Prepare recurring and ad-oc reports for your business units: headcount, open roles, hiring pipeline, attrition, and other workforce metrics
- Keep HR system data for your business units accurate and current, so the numbers we report are numbers we can stand behind
- Provide operational support to recruitment: job postings, interview scheduling, candidate correspondence, and applicant tracking system upkeep
- Coordinate onboarding for new joiners, running the process consistently from offer through the first weeks
- Assist with employee engagement, training, and internal communication activities for the teams you support
- Prepare HR correspondence in both Turkish and English
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; you will use it every day with international colleagues, contractors, and candidates
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Labor Economics & Industrial Relations, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field
- 0–2 years of Human Resources experience; internship experience will be considered
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy in data and reporting
- A structured, process-driven way of working, and genuine comfort with recurring, detail-oriented tasks
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep multiple routine tasks moving in parallel without dropping any
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- An interest in people analytics and workforce reporting
- Knowledge of Turkish Labor Law is an asset
- Familiarity with an HRIS or an applicant tracking system is an asset
