Junior HR Data Engineer
We’re looking for a Junior HR Data Engineer to join us at Telia.
I’m Fredrik Nilsson, Head of Digital Solutions in Group People & Culture, and I’m looking for someone who is curious, hands-on and eager to grow with us.
We’re a skilled and collaborative cross-border team managing Workday, shaping digital HR experiences, and building smart solutions that make a real difference across the organization.
What you’ll do:
- Play a key role in strengthening how global HR data is structured, maintained, and used by building consistent reporting foundations, improving data quality, and enabling more efficient digital solutions across the organization.
- Develop, improve and maintain a reliable reporting structure in Workday, ensuring data is aligned across markets and use cases and support clear, accurate, and business-relevant reporting.
- Create practical solutions for data validation, transformation, and large-scale updates, using automation and scripting to improve quality, reduce manual work, and resolve inconsistencies faster.
- Drive global data harmonization by identifying gaps in market data, improving mapping standards, and helping establish one consistent way of working across regions.
- Support the development of future-focused workflows, integrations, and AI-enabled solutions that improve operational efficiency and strengthen the digital HR experience.
What will help you thrive in this role:
- You are curious, structured, and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in data, systems, and how digital solutions can improve the employee experience.
- Experience in working with data from larger business systems such as HR, finance, CRM, or data platforms, and an understanding of how data is extracted, transformed, and used.
- Good knowledge of SQL and Python, or similar tools, and confidence in using them to work with data, solve problems, and support automation.
- Ability to understand how data moves between systems, spot issues or inconsistencies, and contribute to practical solutions that improve quality and efficiency.
- Interest in learning new platforms and technologies, with Workday experience seen as an advantage and curiosity about AI, Copilot, and automation tools welcomed.
