Position Summary
The Junior Graphic Designer is a capable and detail-oriented creative professional who thrives in a corporate environment, values consistency, and brings technical design skill to templated communications. It plays a key role in executing and finalizing print and digital design requests for employee benefits using established branding and design. This is an entry-level position working under the supervision of more senior designers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Direction: Follows design direction to ensure projects are properly branded, engaging, scalable, and efficient. Assists in creative brainstorming and ensures designs align with overall communication strategies. Maintains brand consistency across all creative outputs.
- Mitigation: Has ability to quickly solve problems, issues, or delays regarding print or digital design and production deliverables.
- Departmental Support: On an as needed basis, work with departmental teams to create or update collateral that supports pre- and post-sales deliverables, such as custom previews of employee benefits campaigns, white papers, case studies, infographics, brochures, and other special projects.
- Professional Development: Identify new areas for learning to improve team skills and on-the-job performance.
Qualifications:
- 1-5 years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in a corporate or B2B environment.
- Bachelor's degree in design, communications, marketing, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Adobe, Asana, and Microsoft Office products required.
- Understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience working with templates, paragraph/character styles, and style sheets.
- Ability to work within brand guidelines while maintaining creativity.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity in preparing print and digital files for delivery and production.
