Role overview:
Team ASOBI is looking for a passionate, skilled and creative upcoming Gameplay Programmer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating player controls and related gameplay mechanics and bring those to finished quality. Where needed, will provide training and coaching to teach design philosophies, cultural thinking and techniques. We expect a positive learning attitude, high motivation and great commitment.
Responsibilities:
- Create advanced and fun gameplay mechanics around physics engines and related techniques.
- Create prototypes quickly and iterate fast to continuously improve them.
- Bring your own game design sense, creativity and humor to these interactions.
- Collaborate with system programmers, game designers, and artists to bring prototypes up to final quality.
- Learn in-house gameplay engine, systems, and tools.
- Manage your own tasks and deliver quality gameplay on time.
Skills required
- Passion for game design and play in general.
- Basic knowledge of physics engines and related algorithms.
- C++ experience.
- Intermediate Japanese language skill.
- Strong knowledge of other games and gameplay mechanics
