Purpose of the role

• Provide professional trading services to all clients, develop and maintain business with the existing and new clients by partnering with sales to achieve the Bank’s revenue target.

• Execute for the best interests of the Bank and its clients.

• Perform any ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the overall trading business across FX and Derivatives desks as a junior trader

• Maximize profitability through active risk-taking while ensuring adherence to risk limits and product mandates

• Price, execute and hedge FX/Derivatives products in response to client requests

• Ensure strict compliance with regulatory policies, standards and business principles

• Driven to develop strong capability in trading G10/Asian CCYs

• Make relevant reports to regional head office/risk control department

• Manage operational and administrative tasks of trading group

• Observe and comply with all relevant external regulations as well as internal policies, procedures and control frameworks, ensuring marketing activities are conducted within the established rules.

• Balance the risk and opportunities to meet individual target, manage own trading position, aligning with MUFG value, provide good service/pricing to clients and make use of the flow to generate revenue for the Bank.

• Demonstrate professionalism and maintain respectful and collaborative environment with colleagues and stakeholders.

• Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree, degree in economics, mathematics, finance and engineering preferred

• University graduate or up to 5 years of professional trading experience

• Understanding of FX/Derivatives and strong quantitative proficiency

• Superb team player, team focused and willing to be part of a team culture

• Healthy risk appetite and fast decision making ability

• Ability to work under stressful and time critical conditions

• Accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail in aspects of work product

• Excellent written and spoken communication/interaction skills
