DESCRIPTION:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Junior FP&A Analyst (Financial Analyst I), where you'll contribute to financial excellence and business growth. The Junior FP&A Analyst supports financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities across the LATAM region. The role is responsible for consolidating financial data from business units and support functions, maintaining reporting tools and financial models, and preparing recurring reports on revenue, expenses, margins, and key performance indicators. The analyst conducts variance analyses to identify performance trends, ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supports monthly financial close activities, and assists in the development of management presentations for local and regional leadership.
Additionally, the position provides financial information and analytical support to the senior FP&A colleagues and internal stakeholders to facilitate informed business decision-making, while contributing to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree required, up to 02 years of experience in financial analysis in a corporate environment
• Preferred Fields of Study: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Power BI or similar business intelligence tools preferred
• Business fluency in English or Spanish
• Experience with global financial systems such as Hyperion, SAP, Oracle
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating in a matrix environment
• Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles
• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and process improvement mindset
• Ability to manage and analyze large datasets
• Willingness to travel up to 10%, if needed
