Summary of Role 

GlobalFoundries Fab 1 is seeking an Engineer Technology Development & Yield to support the 300mm semiconductor process integration and Yield team within the Feature-Rich product line organization. This role involves Yield analysis and debugging tasks and can include managing process integration topics from development to production. A solid background in electrical engineering and statistics, along with problem-solving skills is required. The candidate should demonstrate a technical understanding of various processes and use a balanced scorecard approach to develop, sustain, and improve the technologies with quality, cost, and delivery.   

Your Job

  • Perform Yield analysis for experimental lots and production material  

  • Perform effective data mining, identify, understand and resolve complex process integration issues based on Yield detractors

  • Develop and improve yield characterization and data analysis methodologies to rapidly determine yield limiters, correlation to in-line defectivity, metrology, and electrical parametric signals

  • Generate new SORT test programs for development projects 

  • Work with cross function teams, e.g. physical failure analysis team, to resolve technical & Yield concerns. 

  • Drive CIPs (continuous improvement plans) to deliver organizational goals. 

  • Understanding and working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE). 

  • Work and collaborate on additional projects and/or assignments as needed.     

Required Qualifications

  • Graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, or another relevant engineering or physical science discipline from an accredited program. 

  • Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and Ability to work effectively and efficiently with multicultural teams, clients, as well as internal and external partners. 

  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

  • Travel - Up to 10%  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or PhD 

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.

  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, or competitions 

  • Understanding and knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE) 

  • Strong planning & organizational skills
