Job Description:
Key responsibilities:
- Support the design and production of editorial content across print magazines, digital platforms and social media channels.
- Assist in the creation of visually engaging layouts, graphics and design assets that align with brand guidelines and editorial objectives.
- Contribute to the design process from concept development through to final execution and publication.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy across all visual outputs while maintaining brand standards.
- Research design, fashion, lifestyle and social media trends, contributing insights during editorial brainstorms and planning sessions.
- Create and adapt content for digital platforms, including social media posts, stories, reels, carousels and supporting graphic assets.
- Assist with image sourcing, retouching and preparation of photography and illustrations under the guidance of the Art Director.
- Support the creation of basic motion graphics, video edits and digital assets where required.
- Review and implement design amendments accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare print-ready artwork and assist with pre-production processes for magazine and editorial content.
- Collaborate with editors, writers, designers and content creators to ensure content is delivered on time and to the required standard.
- Maintain effective organisation of design files and assets.
- Stay informed about emerging design trends, platform requirements and changes in digital content consumption.
- Support the broader creative team across print and digital projects as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field.
- Minimum of 1–3 years' experience in a design, publishing, editorial or creative environment.
- Experience designing for print publications and/or digital platforms.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Basic knowledge of Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar digital content creation tools is advantageous.
- Understanding of social media platforms and digital content formats.
- Strong creative eye for layout, typography, imagery and visual storytelling.
- Knowledge of and enthusiasm for fashion, beauty, lifestyle and pop culture.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
