Job Description Summary
The Junior Data Engineer is pivotal in designing, building, and maintaining advanced data processing architectures and solutions that facilitate the generation and movement of compliant test data. In this role, you will be a key player in optimizing testing strategies and ensuring data accuracy, thereby reinforcing the foundation of successful software development. Your expertise will enable the creation of high-quality test data, empowering teams to innovate confidently.
Job Responsibilities
- Utilize tools like GenRocket and Informatica to generate artificial and de-identified test data.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand and fulfill data requirements for various projects.
- Aid in incremental data refreshes and enterprise-wide data refresh initiatives.
- Employ de-identification, obfuscation, artificial and database virtualization techniques to cleanse, organize, and transform data into compliant test data.
- Develop new capabilities such as the movement of specific, integrated data throughout the Humana ecosystem.
- Contribute to the creation of solutions from strategies formed by leadership, ensuring alignment with the Test Data Management strategies.
- Profile applications to identify sensitive data and make informed decisions on data handling to streamline stakeholder review processes.

 Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in data generation and management tools such as GenRocket and Informatica.
  • Strong understanding of data de-identification and obfuscation techniques.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and handle ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with database virtualization and working with large-scale data environments.
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry standards and compliance requirements.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$86,600 - $119,200 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
