Let's start with the role
We are seeking an exceptional Junior Data Analyst to join our dynamic and fast-growing BI & Analytics team at Kaizen Gaming. As part of the next phase of our exciting scale-up journey, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of various departments across the company. In a hub-and-spoke environment, this Junior Data Analyst will be assigned to a specific Kaizen function, acting as a key ambassador between the Data and Business teams to drive informed decision-making and business expansion.
As a Data Analyst, you will:
- Cultivate strong relationships with the assigned function to understand its needs and objectives.
- Develop a deep understanding of the tools and data used by the function, identifying opportunities for extracting actionable insights.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and compare actual results against targets to assess performance.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data used in analysis and reporting.
- Communicate insights and data-driven recommendations to stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making.
- Work closely with the function or BI team to prioritize tasks and projects.
- Collaborate with the rest of the Data team to ensure alignment on data visualization, analysis, and optimize the flow of information across teams.
- Advocate for a data-driven culture, promoting the value of data across the organization.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, economics, operations research or similar;
- Up to 2 years experience in a reporting, statistical or quantitative role;
- Data storytelling skills and the ability to articulate technical information to a non-technical audience;
- A data-driven attitude with an analytical focus and a good understanding of statistical methods;
- Strong SQL skills, highly advanced with MS-Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros) and Gsuite experience;
- Relevant experience with Microsoft Power BI (or other dashboarding tool, such as Tableau) will be considered a plus;
- Experience in Data Manipulation and Data Analysis using Python will be considered a plus;
- The ability to manage stakeholders under pressure;
- A high drive, can-do attitude, proactive and flexible to changing business demands;
- Analytical mindset and detail-oriented with ability to focus and prioritize workload;
- Fluency in English.
