The Role

We are looking to hire a Junior Credit Controller to join our international team based in Hoofddorp. In this role, you will be responsible for the order-to-cash process for our B2B customers, from processing invoices to providing administrative support to collecting debts from our B2B partners.

The Junior Credit Controller is part of the Finance department of Basic-Fit and operates in the Credit Management team.  

This is what your assignment looks like 

As a Junior Credit Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the invoicing, dunning, and timely payment behaviour of our B2B portfolio. You will also help collect outstanding debt by contacting our B2B customers. Our B2B portfolio mainly consists of Partners (Personal Trainers / Physios), nutrition, and advertisement customers.

In this role, you will directly contact different departments within our organization.  Your communication and analytical skills will set you up for success and help you accomplish great things with us. You will join a dynamic international team in a growing and exciting company.   

We are looking for a person who is strong in both administration and communication. Due to your affinity with numbers, you will process invoices, corrections, and other financial transactions efficiently, timely, and accurately. In addition, you reach out to our customers and internal stakeholders on a daily basis. You are decisive and determined to solve problems and collect outstanding amounts. You will learn the ins and outs of the Accounts Receivable functionalities in SAP S/4 Hana to act as the team's functional specialist.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Execute the fast and accurate processing of (credit) invoice requests from several stakeholders throughout our organisation;
  • Manage the Direct Debit process for B2B customers and process rejects;
  • Analyse and solve exceptions and disputes. Post necessary corrections;
  • Maintain and improve customer master data to improve collection;
  • Efficiently manage a port of the Credit Control portfolio: contact customers, track disputes, and report on debts, highlighting potential risks. Essential for financial health; 
  • First-line support for daily queries from internal and external stakeholders; 
  • Handle ad hoc issues and projects whenever required. 
  • Communication with and all administrative processes around our outsourced credit management partner, our collection agencies.

An achievement-motivated, organized, and enthusiastic personality. You are a structured worker and an effective communicator. 

Furthermore, we’re asking:  

  • Bachelor's degree with working experience within Credit Control. 
  • Fluent level of English and French, Dutch and Spanish is a plus. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills; 
  • Organized person with the ability to analyse and optimize processes; 
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team – Strong team player; 
  • Proficient in Excel; knowledge of SAP is a plus 
  • Should be persistent and have a sense of urgency;
