Job Description:

The Junior Country Controller - EMEA is responsible for all compliance, statutory reporting and acquisition integration activities of the Insightsoftware EMEA entities notably in Romania, but may extend to other EU countries where required. This role reports into the Director of EMEA & APAC Accounting & Integrations who is based in London. Ideally the candidate should reside in Romania and have the capacity to be entrusted with full compliance review and undertaking of our Romanian entity, and will potentially extend to a few other EU entities.
 

insightsoftware is looking for an experienced qualified accountant to be a key member in the regional Accounting team, taking ownership of local statutory compliance matters for this fast-growing financial technology company headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina. The successful candidate will possess good attention to details and excellent communication / interpersonal skills.
 

What would you do?

  • ​Execute and ensure that the control environments are accurate and in compliance with local accounting standards and reporting requirements such as Romanian Chart of Accounts
  • Fully responsible for the statutory financial statements and other compliance requirements in-country such as VAT compilations, government IDs and filings etc.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to discuss and resolve complex accounting issues
  • Liaise with business owners to ensure that processes and deadlines are clearly understood
  • Coordinate with our SSG India team to prepare audit schedules for local statutory audits
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis support to the Finance team and business as the need arises
  • Perform balance sheet reviews and report on monthly income statement analytics
  • Collaborate to support the development of processes that are scalable to cater for Insightsoftware’s growth, including future expansion into new location
  • Other ad hoc duties as identified by the center of excellence management team

Qualifications

  • Newly qualified accountant with entry level accounting experience, basic experience in dealing with audits and compliance activities
  • Ability to communicate freely verbally and in writing in English (Other European language will be an advantage)
  • Demonstrate willingness to go beyond day to day tasks to unlock challenges and open up opportunities per insightsoftware needs
  • Experience with NetSuite/Salesforce (desired but not a must)
  • Software industry experience (desired but not a must)

Salary Range outlined as Gross Annual




The salary range in Romania for this position is 114,000.00 to 142,000.00 RON Annual.

Your specific offer within this range will be determined by your skills, experience, and qualifications. For non-sales roles, you may be eligible for a bonus. For sales roles, this range includes a commission target.
