In this pivotal role, you will support the Teamsports Finance team with all controlling activities for Soccer, Hockey and the Athlete Performance Center and will support the Corporate Marketing Projects HQ Controlling team and drive efficiencies through the preparation of shareholder reporting, the automation and enhancement of reporting processes, and serving as a knowledge hub for our diverse Corporate Marketing Projects. Job Description
PLANNING AND FORECASTING
- Support in analyzing plan submissions, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and KPIs, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Assist the Senior Controller and local finance teams during the planning process, focusing on technical and process setup.
- Support the Senior Controller Teamsports & FM APC in the timely submission of Business Plans, Revised Estimates, and Current Estimates.
- Ensure the reconciliation of financial data across systems such as SAP, BI, and Hyperion.
- Check the quality of planning for errors, consistency, and plausibility, and suggest improvements for better presentation and commenting.
MONTH-END CLOSING
- Prepare and consolidate a standard monthly reporting package (MEC, LRE, Sales Report, etc.) for the Area.
- Support the Senior Controller Teamsports & FM APC in analyzing MEC submissions (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and KPIs).
- Check the quality of reporting packages for errors, consistency, and plausibility.
- Ensure timely system closing and submission of reporting packages.
CONTROLLING: ANALYSIS, REPORTING & COMMUNICATION
- Enhancement of standard reporting packages for area and finance managers for planning and month-end closing.
- Support in improving local reporting packages and standard sales-reporting for teamsports area.
- Assistance to Senior Controller Teamsports & FM APC in preparing ad-hoc reports and presentations for AFM.
- Integration of new technical capabilities and requests into finance systems.
- Provide expertise and best practice sharing to subsidiary controllers and ensure alignment with controller corporate marketing projects on guidelines and reporting standards.
GENERAL
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant finance group guidelines and controlling schedules for Teamsports projects.
- Specialize in reporting and IT systems to identify improvement opportunities and best practices for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support Senior Controller Teamsports & FM APC in operational areas including master data accuracy, monthly reporting, business planning, forecasting, and controlling concepts optimization.
- Build constructive relationships with local controllers in Teamsports subsidiaries, assisting with system queries and guideline application.
- Take initiative by sharing best practices, insights, ideas, and highlighting risks and opportunities.
Qualifications
University Degree in Business Administration or a similar field.
Fluent in German and English.
Work experience in Finance (Controlling) is beneficial, with 1-3 years being a plus.
Excellent MS Excel knowledge and very good MS Office skills; familiarity with SAP BI/Hyperion/Smartview is a strong plus.
Strong analytical thinking, ability to identify and analyze causalities, risks, and impacts.
High engagement, self-motivation, and ability to work both independently and as a team player.
Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal customers, cross-functional teams, and global business partners.
Entrepreneurial and result-oriented thinking, with the flexibility to adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment.
Additional Information
Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2.303 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
