The Junior Colleague Developer/Administrator will assist in management and support of the University Ellucian Colleague ERP system by providing best practice preventative maintenance, development, and management. Supports all client SQL databases related to Ellucian applications; Colleague, portal, self-service, data extracts, patches and upgrades, and related products.

Job Description

Reporting to the Director of DevOps, the duties and responsibilities of the Junior Colleague developer and administrator include:

  • Assist in monitoring the Colleague SIS system services
  • Support technical IT staff in troubleshooting and communications
  • Perform and assist in onboarding/offboarding of accounts and access to SIS
  • Create and maintain system technical support documentation
  • Support IT peer team members
  • Consult with users to resolve their business challenges
  • Positive attitude and willingness/desire to learn

Desired Skills/Knowledge

  • General knowledge of software and hardware components
  • Understanding of enterprise systems and their operation
  • Technical education path with some understanding of administrative and programming operations
  • Basic knowledge of service-oriented architecture

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • General customer support experience in a service-related industry

The candidate selected for this position may work remotely subject to an approved remote work agreement, which is reviewed and approved annually. Remote work requires successful candidates to possess their own high-speed internet and phone to perform the work on a university provided computer. Candidate may, on occasion, be required to report to campus due to operational needs for meetings, trainings, or other activities.
