About this opportunity:
We are now looking for engaged Layer 1 developers to join our team based in Poland! The team will work on how to prepare for development of a powerful UE Simulator meeting the needs of 6G. The team will later be the core team for actual development of the 6G UE simulator.
The Simulation Services (SIMS) unit is responsible for providing Simulators to product development within Business Area Networks. These Simulators are used in product verification instead of real mobile phones and real core networks. The SIMS responsibility includes development of internal solutions for Simulators, including our main simulator CSIM FsUE NR and sourcing of Simulators from external vendors.

  • Be part of an agile team that contributes to Layer 1 development of a UE Simulator
  • Work in an exciting technical area, supporting Ericsson internal users with an important product for 6G
  • Have the possibility to drive innovation and make new insights reality

  • Entry level knowledge about embedded programming, ideally within the telecom sector
  • Proven software engineering skills with ability to write high-quality code (e.g. C) and knowledge in DPDK
  • Knowledge of multithreading and parallel processing and understanding of L1 Protocols
  • Good speaking and writing skills in English

We work in hybrid model, min. 3 days from office

Skills Required

  • MSc or BSc in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent (or in final semesters)
  • Entry-level knowledge of embedded programming (ideally within telecom)
  • Proven software engineering skills with ability to write high-quality C code
  • Knowledge and experience with DPDK
  • Knowledge of multithreading and parallel processing
  • Understanding of Layer 1 (L1) protocols
