As a Junior Buyer in the Men’s Designer category, you’re part of a high-performing and dynamic team, creating new and innovative ways to connect people and fashion. The Junior Buyer will be responsible for development and management of seasonal collections, including planning, in-season management and purchasing for their portfolio of brands.

WHY YOU SHOULD BE INTERESTED

Managing and buying a large brand portfolio of men’s ready-to-wear designer brands and creating an exciting product assortment for our customers ( with a European view of the latest trends.

Finding the right assortment balance between being commercial and fashionable while creating exciting exclusive capsules

Checking trends, sourcing new brands, negotiating the best terms for Zalando whilst you manage daily relationships with the existing suppliers.

Know your KPIs and partner with the merchandising team for planning the budget and OTB to monitor and review the performance of your unit, making recommendations based on valid numbers.

Exchanging and building successful relationships with other departments like Logistics, Content and Photo production, Onsite Management and Marketing, Partner Program. You will work cross functionally to drive sales and maximize profit.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

2-4 years of experience in multi-brand buying, ideally in a Designer/Advanced Contemporary/Luxury brands environment

Menswear expert with high interest in men’s fashion

Excellent presentation and analytical skills with knowledge in MS Office (especially Excel and Powerpoint). You find numbers just as exciting as latest trends and have a strong, analytical understanding.

Negotiation is in your blood and you are always a compelling figure when communicating with suppliers and other stakeholders. An ability to showcase your knowledge of trends alongside facts is crucial.

Independent, quick thinking with a proactive attitude and an ability to deal with change. Zalando is a fast-paced environment and growing the designer category as well as the men’s premium textiles business is a key focus internally.
