As a Junior Business Analyst at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll contribute to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business processes, gather requirements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your role will focus on supporting enterprise systems, developing reports and dashboards, documenting processes, and facilitating solutions that enhance operational efficiency. This position offers excellent opportunities to develop analytical and technical skills while contributing to important work that impacts global healthcare, environmental protection, and food safety.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required, no prior experience required
- Experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI, SQL, and data visuazation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- English language proficiency required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to work with derse stakeholders
- Strong documentation skills for processes, requirements, and specifications
- Experience in process mapping and improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a collaborative environment
- Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs
Responsibilities
Supporting existing dashboards (mainly supply chain).
Debugging production issues (data refresh failures, incorrect data).
Basic data analysis & SQL querying.
Mapping business requirements to existing data sources (Redshift, internal repositories).
Creating Power BI dashboards from stakeholder spreadsheets.
Shadowing initially, then working more independently.
