JOB DESCRIPTION
The Brand Accountant role will support the finance function across a number of brands within our portfolio. Reporting directly to the Senior Commercial accountant, this position will assist with financial reporting, commercial pricing analysis, and investment management activities, while ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting. The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop accounting and commercial finance experience within a dynamic multi-brand environment.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales/Financial Reporting, Analytics & IT Maintenance
  • Preparation of information for monthly/quarterly review meetings
  • Recharging Of Brand Marketing and Promotional Expenses
  • Finance business partner to liaise with the Marketing & Commercial teams
  • Assisting with Month End accounts & Management Accounting Tasks
  • Assisting Commercial Accounting Team
  • Budgeting Preparation and forecasting for brands
  • Margin Analysis for key Brands & Customers
  • Assist in the NPD process
  • Identify efficiencies in resources and spend for the brands
  • Ad hoc project work


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Fully Qualified Accountant
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Must Have Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Self-Motivated, Team Player and Ambitious
  • Good Analytical Skills & Process Driven
  • Ability to prioritise responsibilities and manage deadlines
  • Strong IT Skills (Especially Excel)

Skills Required

  • Part Qualified or Relevant College Degree
  • Intention of Completing Professional Accounting Exams
  • Excellent Verbal and Interpersonal Skills
  • Good Analytical Skills & Attention to Detail
  • Strong IT Skills (Especially Excel)

We have about 70 people in our sales team. They are responsible for all our customers, from the major supermarkets and cash and carries to pubs, restaurants and nightclubs. They are supported by national account managers who help the sales team deliver their business objectives whilst helping the major retailers deliver theirs. In Marketing we have over 20 people. We have Marketing Managers, Brand Managers, Trade Marketing Managers and staff to support them and help make things happen. Our Finance area has 30 people. Not just the accountants but also our administrators, Customer Service team, Logistics team and IT support team. We are committed to supporting the development of talent within our business.
