We’re looking for a curious and motivated Junior Developer to join our Business Intelligence team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys working with data and wants to develop their skills with BI, developer tools and programming languages and data analysis. This individual will work with senior developers, data and business analysts to build BI reports and dashboards that support business decisions, while learning from a supportive and collaborative team.
What You’ll Do
- Help create and update Power BI dashboards and reports
- Work with data using Power Query and DAX
- Check data for accuracy and help document your work
- Support testing and improvements to reports based on user feedback
- Join team meetings and agile sprint activities
- Assist with one-off data requests and reporting tasks
- Learn and grow through training and hands-on experience
- Follow company standards and best practices
- Minimum Qualification:
- Undergraduate (bachelor’s degree) in Computer Engineering or Computer or Information Sciences or Data Analytics or relevant education or experience within application development required
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with Power BI required (internships or academic project experience can be considered)
- Basic understanding of data visualization and reporting
- Familiarity with SQL, Power Query, and DAX
- Awareness of RDBMS concepts, and how data is stored and used
- Bonus: Experience with other BI tools or programming languages is a plus
- Soft Skills:
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Team player who can adapt to changing priorities
- Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working in 2-week agile sprints
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
