Job Description

SUMMARY

Conduct SOX, Operational, audit and fraud procedures with reasonable guidance at our headquarters in Daytona Beach, FL as well as locations throughout the US and Canada.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Participate in SOX and Operational testing as needed
  • Document, update, and maintain Internal Controls documentation
  • Coordinate and Interface with Management
  • Conduct data analysis to identify instances and trends of non-compliance, fraud, as well as review and analyze security protocols, procedures, and controls to identify weaknesses.
  • Assist with Fraud investigations as needed
  • Administer the CCTV Service Now Portal
  • Participate in Physical Inventory observations as needed
  • Any other duty, task or responsibility as assigned

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Degree:  Bachelor’s Degree or currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in a four-year academic institution in a relevant field
  • Course of study: Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Special Requirements:  May work beyond normal company hours due to business/customer needs and travel to branch locations in the continental US and Canada

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum experience: Related Industry Experience strongly considered
  • Legal Age Requirements: At least 18 years of age
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • PC skills including advanced Excel and Word skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of audit programs, objectives, and steps.
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls testing.
  • Knowledge or awareness of standard business practices and process flows.

Commitment to Quality:  The dedication to achieving and maintaining high standards in all aspects of the internal audit function. This competency includes meticulous attention to detail, adherence to professional standards, continuous improvement, and a proactive approach to enhancing the quality of audit processes and deliverables.

Critical Thinking:  The ability to objectively analyze and evaluate information, identify patterns and inconsistencies, and make well-reasoned judgments and decisions. This competency includes problem-solving, analytical thinking, and the ability to challenge assumptions and consider alternative perspectives

Communication:  The ability to convey and interpret information clearly, concisely, and effectively to various stakeholders within and outside of TopBuild Corp. This competency includes verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills, as well as active listening, presentation abilities, and the capacity to tailor messages to different audiences.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Type of Travel Required: National
  • Amount of Travel Required:  up to 25%

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is performed in a typical office environment and/or at a branch/division location warehouse facility.  Work may require lifting boxes or packages under 10 lbs., bending and standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. In addition, you may be required to climb a ladder during a physical inventory observation. Work requires regularly inputting/retrieving words or data into or from an automated/computer system.
