Interpath is seeking a Junior Analyst to join its Distressed M&A Sell-side team, advising companies in special situations on business sale processes, strategic partnerships and investor searches. This role is suited to a recent Master's graduate looking to develop a career at the intersection of M&A, restructuring and transaction services, working within a fast-paced and collaborative advisory environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of Distressed M&A sell-side mandates.
  • Conduct financial analysis and company research.
  • Prepare transaction materials, including marketing documents and financial analyses.
  • Assist with investor identification and outreach.
  • Support due diligence and transaction execution.
  • Liaise with clients, investors, legal advisers and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to live transactions across a range of sectors.

Requirements

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Master's degree in Corporate Finance, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Internship or apprenticeship experience in:
    1. M&A
    2. Restructuring
    3. Transaction Services
  • Strong interest in M&A, restructuring and special situations.
  • Commercial mindset with an interest in investor-facing advisory work.

Required Skills

  • Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.
  • Fluent French & English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to quickly understand business models and commercial challenges.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to produce clear, accurate and professional deliverables.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
