Junior Analog Mixed Signal IC Architect

As a Junior Architect, you will play an integral role in designing and evaluating circuits for quantum computing. You’ll work closely with a supportive and experienced mentor—our Senior Architect (NXP Fellow)—who is committed to guiding and empowering you throughout the project.

Our team is part of two Germany-based consortia focused on advancing quantum computing. You’ll have access to NXP’s state-of-the-art cryostatic lab environment in the Netherlands, enabling hands-on experience in evaluating circuits at extremely low temperatures—a fascinating challenge for those who enjoy solving complex problems collaboratively.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a diverse and talented team on the selection and development of Analog Mixed Signal Circuits for Quantum Computer application, including data converters, SPAD detector, power circuits, interface and control logic.
• Lab validation of the developed circuitry in a cryogenic environment
• Evaluation of test results and comparison to system requirements
• Supporting with ideas to solve complex Quantum Computer technical implementation challenges
• Support to the overall system architect, opportunity to work with a NXP fellow.

Job Qualifications

• PhD graduate in Analog Mixed signal IC design
• Understanding of Quantum computing is preferred
• Hands-on experience in Cadence

Current assignment is for the duration of one year, with the possibility to extend to two years.
