Junior Accountant

Uliza Events offers identification solutions across Africa, with active operations in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, Ghana, and Nigeria. Our clients include corporates, malls, hotels, theme parks, and major entertainment events.

As we continue scaling our operations, we’re hiring a Junior Accountant who brings discipline, speed, and precision to our finance department. This role is for someone who has experience in filing VAT, PAYE, SHIF, NSSF, and Income Tax, and thrives in a structured, performance-driven environment.

This role will oversee the day-to-day financial records, statutory compliance, and reporting operations of the business. You'll ensure the company operates with financial clarity, zero leakages, and 100% compliance. You’ll also support multiple branches and report directly to senior management.

• File statutory returns accurately and on time:
  

  • Income Tax
    

  • VAT
    

  • PAYE
    

  • NSSF
    

  • SHIF
    

• Maintain accurate records for:
  

  • Sales (M-PESA, cash, bank)
    

  • Supplier payments & imports
    

  • Petty cash & commissions
    

  • Payroll and deductions
    

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or CPAK (minimum Section 4).
  

• Experience with VAT, PAYE, SHIF, NSSF, and tax filing is mandatory.
  

• Proficiency in Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or Excel.
  

• Fast, accurate data entry and strong organizational discipline.
  

• Ability to identify discrepancies, reconcile issues, and enforce financial accountability.
  

• Previous experience in a multi-branch business or SME environment is an advantage.
