We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Junior Accountant to join our Finance team in Langley, BC.
Reporting to the Team Lead, Treasury Services, you will act as the subject matter expert and be responsible for coordinating and supporting the business with a primary focus on cash-up and accounts receivable. In this role, you will provide guidance to internal partners, troubleshoot complex cash-related issues, and ensure timely, accurate reconciliation processes that support overall financial integrity and business operations.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing daily and monthly reconciliations, reviewing sales data, and troubleshooting discrepancies.
- Supporting retail stores as the first point of contact for cash-up and accounts receivable inquiries, including training and guidance.
- Preparing journal entries and assisting with various accounting duties, including coordinating month end processes and maintaining accurate process documentation.
- Monitoring accounts receivable aging, following up on late or unpaid accounts, and resolving escalated issues related to corporate credit accounts.
- Running financial reports, analyzing data, and providing insights or recommendations to support management decision making.
- Contributing to continuous process improvements and supporting ad hoc projects as needed.
- Leading AR related audit requirements, including year-end tasks and walkthroughs with external auditors.
You have:
- 1-2 years of cash-up and/or accounts receivables experience.
- Completed or currently enrolled in a recognized accounting diploma program, or equivalent experience with a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- 1 year of related accounting experience, ideally within a retail environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of accounting, payment, and banking procedures is considered an asset.

Compensation Details:
$53,832.00 - $67,290.00The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience and other factors.
