Job Description
The Role:
- Working alongside other Junior Accountants and reporting into a supervisor the placement will give you exposure to different areas within Finance: Management accounts, FP&A and Group Reporting
- Put your analytical skills to the test; gathering data and finding out the exact trend that can be acted upon to reduce costs and/or improve efficiency of a business operation
- You will be involved in understanding and improving cost reporting through departments to provide further insight and support a business unit in their decision-making process
- Supporting an area of the group’s financial forecasting and budgeting activities
- Processing accounting entries and numerous recharges within our UK Group subsidiaries ensuring completion of month-end processes within the required deadlines
- Analysing/posting prepayments and accruals with the result of reconciling the balance sheet
- Ad-hoc project analysis to support any significant investments or business acquisitions
Qualifications
- Future ambitions of completing one of ACCA/CIMA (study support provided)
- Able to throw yourself in at the deep end and thrive in a fast paced, commercial environment
- Hard working and willingness to learn is essential
- Collaborative approach to work, always take the team with you and able to build relationships with colleagues at all levels of an organisation
