Job Description

What you will do in this role:

  • Processing accounting entries for the German subsidiary, such as supplier bills, customer invoices, employee expenses, and payments. Collaborating with other departments in the execution of these tasks.
  • Analyzing and verifying ledger entries and reconciling bank, supplier, and customer balances.
  • Communicating with vendors to resolve account discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries.
  • Participating in monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings.
  • Assisting senior accountants and the team leader in preparing monthly reports.
  • Working with other departments to provide the information they need (e.g., supporting buyers in the procurement process, assisting employees with expense reports, and collaborating with local finance team on accounting information).
  • Identifying and implementing initiatives to improve processes.


Qualifications

What makes you a strong fit:

  • You understand the fundamental principles of accounting. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics is expected, and an additional Master's degree or accounting certification is preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential).
  • Fluency in English and German, at least B2 level in both written and spoken.
  • Experience working with ERP finance applications. Proficiency in Microsoft skills: Excel is a must.
  • A desire to learn, develop yourself, actively propose improvements, and be meticulous. Like Sherlock Holmes, you are sensitive to even the smallest detail

The role will be based in Warsaw, Poland (hybrid position working from home 2-3 days per week).

In this role, you'll be reporting to Anna Piusińska-Wójcik, our Accounting Hub Manager.
This is a role on the Global Docplanner Team.

  • SHL assessment (a numerical reasoning assessment - standard practice for our hires)
  • 30min conversation with Lilly Kilian our Global Talent Partner
  • 1h interview with Anna Piusińska-Wójcik, your manager in this role
  • 1h interview with Christian Benedetti, our Head of Finance Operations
