JOB SUMMARY 

The Jr. Talent Acquisition Specialist provides critical support to the Talent Acquisition team by executing high-volume sourcing, candidate engagement, and pipeline development activities. This role enables senior recruiters to focus on strategic recruiting efforts while ensuring a consistent flow of qualified candidates across multiple markets and specialties.
Primary Responsibilities
Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Development

  • Proactively source candidates through job boards, resume databases, LinkedIn, social media, networking, referrals, community outreach, and recruiting events.
  • Build and maintain active pipelines of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs across multiple specialties and geographic regions.
  • Create and maintain distribution lists of previous applicants and passive candidates for targeted email campaigns and mass outreach initiatives.
  • Research target markets, competitor organizations, residency/training programs, and other talent pools to identify prospective candidates.
Candidate Screening & Engagement
  • Review resumes and credentials to assess qualifications, experience, and alignment with position requirements.
  • Conduct initial outreach and phone screenings to evaluate candidate interest, availability, and fit.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with candidates to ensure a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and assist with candidate follow-up communications.
Recruitment Strategy Support
  • Partner with senior recruiters to execute proactive sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Gather market intelligence regarding candidate availability, compensation expectations, and hiring trends to support recruitment planning.
  • Assist with targeted recruiting campaigns and talent mapping initiatives.
Candidate Relationship Management
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and pipelines within the applicant tracking system.
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring team. 
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a professional, responsive candidate experience.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: administrative support, performance management administration, and training administration.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience. 

  • 2-3 years of recruiting experience with a degree. Or 5+ years of recruiting experience without a degree. Previous health professions recruiting experience is highly preferred 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics. 

  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles. 

  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative. 

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. 

  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment. 

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.  

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
