ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our FOS products team. Reporting to a Senior Engineer or the Director of Software Engineering, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable SaaS solutions while learning from experienced team members. This role is perfect for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is eager to grow their technical skills, learn industry best practices, and gain hands-on experience building real-world applications. You will work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and designers to support the development of features that deliver value to our internal and external customers.

 WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Write, test, and debug code for cloud-based SaaS applications under the mentorship of senior engineers
  • Assist with application maintenance, bug fixes, and small feature implementations
  • Learn and apply CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and basic DevOps practices
  • Support documentation efforts for both technical processes and end-user features
  • Participate in code reviews to learn best practices for writing clean, maintainable code
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and contribute to project delivery
  • Help with testing and quality assurance activities
  • Stay curious and committed to continuous learning of new technologies and engineering practices

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent bootcamp/self-taught experience
  • 0-2 years of professional software development experience. Experience includes internships, co-ops, or academic projects. 
  • Familiarity with at least one modern programming language such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python
  • Basic understanding of web development concepts (frontend and/or backend)
  • Exposure to version control systems like Git is a plus
  • Awareness of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar) is a plus
  • Familiarity with frameworks like React, .NET, or Node.js is a plus
  • Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, or DevOps practices is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude
  • Passion for technology and eagerness to grow as a software engineer
