Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our Activations Engineering team and contribute to the growth and evolution of the Standalone Activations Platform. This role is ideal for early-career software engineers who are passionate about Scala, cloud technologies, and large-scale data processing.
As part of the team, you will help build and maintain partner integrations, develop scalable data delivery solutions, and contribute to systems that generate business value through reliable and efficient audience data distribution.
Your key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using Scala.
- Apply functional programming principles in production systems.
- Build asynchronous and concurrent processing solutions.
- Integrate with external services and APIs.
- Work with AWS SDKs, including services such as S3 and STS.
- Implement JSON serialization and deserialization using modern libraries such as Circe.
- Design, build, and operate solutions on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Develop data processing workflows using BigQuery and Dataflow.
- Manage and query data using SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Work with distributed messaging platforms, including Google Pub/Sub.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and component tests.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborative development practices.
- Use Git and follow modern version control workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed cloud environments.
- Ensure system stability, reliability, and performance.
- + Advanced English and availability to travel to São Carlos/SP when need it.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Early-career professionals with strong technical foundations are encouraged to apply.
- Scala development experience.
- Strong understanding of functional programming concepts.

- Cloud platform experience with AWS and/or GCP.
- Knowledge of IAM, STS, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

- Experience developing, testing, and validating software solutions.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
