Job Description
Purpose:
The Jr. Pricing Analyst is responsible for analyzing and recommending pricing for existing and new products; as well as working cross-functionally on the creation of Business Cases.
Jr. Pricing Analyst job duties:
- Costing:
- Work with Procurement Supply Chain Finance, Quality, and SCM to collect all information related to the cost of products being sold
- Build assumptions on costing when not available
- Work with Finance on reviewing cost fluctuation for portfolio
- Pricing and promotion:
- Research the pricing structure of the Japanese market
- Set up pricing benchmarks for our products
- Make pricing recommendations for new launches
- Build pricing architecture structure for full ranges
- Align with Sales and Commercial Finance on DA allocation for products
- Review promotional activities and recommend best practices
- Track actual pricing to be in compliance with the pricing guidelines
- P&L and Business Case:
- Build unit P&L for products combining costing, pricing, as well as other pieces of information
- Stablish Business Case template
- Lead Business Case creation with input from cross-functional team
- Oversee Business Cases archive and upload to corporate portfolio tools
- Other tasks:
- Liaise with International stakeholders on Pricing and Revenue Management agendas
- Support Trade story making and other commercial activities
Jr. Pricing Analyst desired skills:
- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance and/or equivalent
- At least 4 years of experience in Commercial Roles: Sales, Finance, Revenue
- Experience on P&L making roles and tools
- Strategic-thinker, capable of combining everyday activities with long-term plans.
- Literate in market intelligence databases (Intage SRI+, Intage SCI, etc.)
- Thorough understanding of Japan business principles and practices
- Japanese communication skills, both written and verbal
