Role OverviewInnovatus Technology Consulting is seeking a motivated Junior Power Automate / RPA Developer to join our team in San Diego. This is an excellent opportunity for a budding automation specialist to design, develop, and implement solutions that streamline critical workflows for our Department of Defense (DoD) clients.
You will be responsible for identifying manual processes and transforming them into efficient, automated workflows using the Microsoft Power Platform and UiPath. If you are a problem-solver who is eager to bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Workflow Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate (Cloud Flows and Desktop/RPA).
- RPA Development: Utilize UiPath to build bots that automate repetitive, rule-based tasks across legacy systems and modern web applications.
- Troubleshooting: Monitor automated processes, identify bugs or bottlenecks, and provide timely resolutions to ensure business continuity.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including Process Definition Documents (PDD) and Solution Design Documents (SDD).
- Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers and Lead Developers to translate user stories into functional automation scripts.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in software development, data analysis, or a similar technical role.
- Technical Skills: * Foundational knowledge of Power Automate (Flows, Connectors, Expressions).
- Hands-on experience or academic exposure to UiPath (highly preferred).
- Understanding of basic programming logic (if/else, loops, variables) and API integrations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (relevant experience/certifications may be considered).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Security Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required.
