We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst to join the U.S. Retirement Platform Management team. This role will support the ongoing management, development and evolution of the investment platforms serving our U.S. retirement business.

The successful candidate will bring strong investment fundamentals, analytical and technical capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex investment concepts in a clear and practical manner. Key Responsibilities

Investment Analysis & Platform Support

  • Support sales, relationship management, product, and other internal teams through analysis of fund lineups, investment strategies, fund mapping, and platform positioning.

  • Perform research and analysis on investments, product features, industry trends, competitor strategies, and retirement investment solutions.

  • Conduct routine investment performance calculations and analysis.

  • Support month-end and quarter-end investment reporting cycles.

  • Assist with the ongoing management of large retirement investment platforms with broad and complex fund offerings.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on investment product information and platform-related inquiries.

Stakeholder Support & Communication

  • Respond to inquiries and provide strategic positioning points related to investment platforms, product offerings, compliance and legal inquiries related to funds.

  • Explain investment and financial concepts in a clear, concise, and easily digestible manner for both investment and non-investment audiences.

  • Support internal business partners, including operations, sales, relationship management, product, and leadership teams, with complex investment questions, escalations, and trading-related inquiries.

  • Interface with internal teams to manage and resolve inquiries related to investment fund information.

  • Support internal teams that rely on fund information by providing subject matter expertise and timely, accurate guidance.

Data Analytics, Reporting & Business Intelligence

  • Conduct data analytics to support investment platform management, investment marketing materials, management reporting, and business intelligence.

  • Work with large sets of fund and platform data to identify trends, validate information, and support decision-making.

  • Support senior leadership reporting needs through data review, analysis, and preparation of investment insights.

  • Prepare management reporting, financial analysis and other materials for senior leadership. 

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Execute process improvement initiatives across fund information, reporting, and data management activities.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline complex workflows, reduce manual effort, improve scalability, and enhance data quality.

  • Leverage technology, automation, and emerging tools, including artificial intelligence (AI), to improve efficiency and strengthen platform management processes.

Product & Platform Development

  • Act as a subject matter expert on product development and platform enhancement initiatives.

  • Provide investment, data, and operational insight to support new product launches, fund changes, platform updates, and investment-related business initiatives.

  • Partner cross-functionally with product, operations, technology, sales, relationship management, and investment teams to support platform strategy and execution.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in financial services or an investment-related role.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  Progress toward CFA, MBA, or a similar professional designation preferred.

  • Strong understanding of investing principles, quantitative investment information, and general financial markets.

  • Familiarity with retirement plans, retirement investment products, and the U.S. retirement market is important.  Understanding of the U.S. pension and retirement marketplace is considered an asset.

  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

  • Comfortable working with large sets of fund, investment, and platform data.

  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Ability to understand advanced investment concepts and articulate them clearly to non-investment professionals and business partners.

  • Preference for candidates with experience using investment research, analytics, or due diligence platforms such as Morningstar Direct, FI360, RPAG, or similar tools.

  • Demonstrated interest in process improvement, automation, and the use of emerging technologies to streamline workflows and improve outcomes.

Salary range is expected to be between

$62,850.00 CAD - $104,750.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
