Under general supervision, the Environmental Monitoring and Sampling Technician will perform routine procedures and sampling of environmental monitoring, water systems, and gases in support of Manufacturing Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Implement Safety Programs: Develop and maintain safety programs that comply with federal, state, and local laws.
- Conduct Inspections: Perform routine safety checks and inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
- Training and Education: Educate employees on health and safety regulations and best practices through training programs.
- Accident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents to identify causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Develop Safety Plans: Create and implement health and safety plans, including emergency response plans.
- Data Collection and Reporting: Collect and report environmental data, such as pollution measurements and soil or water samples.
- Consultation: Advise organizations on minimizing environmental impact and ensuring compliance with safety standards
Qualifications Requirements/Knowledge/Education/Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
- Experience: Relevant experience in safety management or a related field.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of environmental health and safety regulations.
- Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
