Description
Enhance your IT career at the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Supercomputing Center in Dayton! SSI is seeking motivated and eager candidates, looking to take the next step in the IT field supporting our nation’s warfighters. This position allows you to build your skills in IT while supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) in transitioning technology into superior defense capabilities through the strategic application of high-performance computing, networking, and computational expertise.
Position supports a 24x7 IT operations center and a 6am-6pm Help Desk.
The successful candidate will perform the following job duties:
- Provide technical assistance to computer users via phone, email, tickets, desk side or in person.
- Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, or via phone, or electronically
- Asist with accounts, monitoring of data center and server room operations to include physical, security, access and control
- May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems
- Assist with special projects to include decommissioning of equipment
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
· High School and 4 years working experience, or Associate’s and 2 years, or Bachelor’s and 0-1 years experience
· Must be a US Citizen
· Must have active Secret clearance and/or be clearable to Secret
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
· 1 year of experience in various HPC systems, various HPC technologies
· A+, Net+ or Sec+ certifications

Skills Required
- High school diploma with 4 years' experience, or Associate's with 2 years, or Bachelor's with 0-1 years experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Active Secret security clearance or be eligible/clearable to Secret
- Ability to support a 24x7 IT operations center and a 6am-6pm help desk schedule
- 1 year experience with HPC systems/technologies
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certifications
