Role: Jr. Art Director 

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

About the role: 

Oliver is hiring a Junior Art Director to work as part of our team with clients located in Charlotte, NC. In this role you will work on the art direction and design of marketing materials for both print and web including and not limited to, marketing collateral, brochures, emails, landing pages, static banners, story boarding for video/digital concepts and more.  If you love working in a fast-paced team environment and have at least two to five years of design experience under your belt then this could be a great role for you. This position is remote with location preference in the Southeast with required monthly travel to Charlotte, NC. 

What you will be doing: 

  • Design compelling assets while adhering to brand guidelines across multiple media channels, including but not limited to, corporate branding, social and digital assets, and print collateral 
  • Work closely with Account Managers and the rest of the creative team to ensure delivery of creative ask from concept to final execution within deadlines
  • Oversee and manage the preparation of finished design files that comply with the correct output specifications for print, digital, and social
  • Work alongside the Associate Creative Director to assist in providing direction to designers
  • Stay on top of design trends and maintain best practices
  • Create storyboards for video production and support in on-set art direction for interview-style video and short-form social content 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • A portfolio of great work
  • Branding experience, especially for corporate brands
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team  
  • Proficiency in Indesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop  
  • Illustration skills  
  • Understanding of photography, typography, and printing  
  • Experience working within a fast-paced creative environment and the proven ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Confidence in presentation skills and interacting with clients
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $75,000.00 to $85,000.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
