Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Junior Accountant to join our team in the exciting industry of online Sports Betting. The Junior Accountant will work closely with our Director of Finance on full cycle accounting tasks and more. Our ideal candidate holds an Accounting or Finance degree and is familiar with accounting software packages, such as NetSuite. Key Responsibilities:
● Monthly bank reconciliations.
● Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
● Prepare and distribute year-end 1099 forms to vendors.
● Track, review, and record credit card transactions.
● Log payroll reimbursements and expenses.
● Processes weekly payments to contractors and performs all associated tasks.
● Record and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
● Assist with monthly and annual financial statement closing activities.
● Assist in developing internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate reporting.
● Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
● Experience with NetSuite accounting software.
Education and Experience:
● Accounting designation preferred.
● Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and NetSuite accounting software.
● Minimum of three years of combined experience in accounting and finance.
Physical Requirements:
● Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer in a remote working environment.
