Overview

This position's primary function is to safely maintain saws and machine centers.


Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday (Swing shift) 4pm to 2:30am, flexible as needed,


Wage: $39.34 per hour ($81,827 per year before any shift differentials, overtime and production bonuses). Production bonuses are possible for every employee each month, based on the plant site's target goals.

Responsibilities
  • Sharpening Round Saws.
  • Sharpening Band Saws
  • Stelite tipping, side dressing and profiling saws.
  • Pouring and grinding babbitt guides
  • Grinding band mill guides.
  • Helping to change saws where needed on all saw machine centers
  • Help with preventative maintenance program on all machine centers as they relate to saw performance.
  • Benching Round and Band Saws
  • Welding cracked saws
  • Maintaining all machine center lube systems so that saws are protected.
  • Lining up and leveling up all sawing machine centers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and maintain appropriate checklist.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Qualifications
  • Three years minimum experience benching Saws.
  • Three years minimum experience Fitting, Tipping, and Side grinding.
