JOB SUMMARY
Job Cost Accountant II will manage project finances from initial budgeting through completion. You will communicate and coordinate with Operations, Sales, and Accounting to gather and provide the necessary information for your responsibilities. Your ability to manage multiple priorities will be crucial in completing tasks accurately while meeting deadlines. Demonstrating sound judgment, based on your knowledge and experience, will be essential for successful task completion and problem-solving with minimal assistance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Analyzing and interpreting statistical and accounting information to evaluate operating results, such as profitability and trends. It also covers product cost analysis, preparing reports, and communicating findings to various departments.
- Serve as a strategic partner to management by providing insights and recommendations based on cost analysis.
- Maintain data and determine cost standards for all products, providing cost data for new or changed products, and recording specific entries like efficiency variance and cost of sales.
- Execute all equipment sales orders and contracts, including reviewing order packages for accuracy and completeness.
- Create system order entry, purchase orders, work orders, and managing the receipt of purchase orders and approval of invoices
- Responsible for inventory control and maintenance, as well as the purchasing of stock and custom inventory.

- This job requires no planned business travel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent is required. Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred.
- Combining experience in accounting, cost accounting, or finance practices of 2 or more years with education is desirable.
- Previous experience with cost accounting preferred.
