Job Title: Business Analyst (Data Focus)
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with a strong focus on data to serve as the key interface for our various domain teams. This role involves gathering and structuring business requirements from Finance, Operations, Quality, Sales, HR, and Engineering teams, transforming them into scoped, actionable work for the Data Product Manager and the engineering pod. This is not a typical BA role; experience in data projects, particularly data migration, is highly desired. Fluency in English is essential.
Core Responsibilities:
- Engage directly with domain teams to gather and structure requirements.
- Formalize business rules, data validation logic, and KPI definitions, then provide structured requirements to the Data Product Manager.
- Produce process maps, data flow diagrams, and acceptance criteria for each backlog item.
- Support user acceptance testing of certified data products prior to sign-off.
- Contribute to data source identification and scoping in collaboration with the Data Engineer Lead.
- Assist in domain stewardship and lineage documentation.
- Facilitate business user onboarding for newly certified data products.
- Collaborate across various domains based on backlog priorities.
Required Skills:
- Experience in requirements elicitation and business analysis, including defining business rules and KPIs.
- Familiarity with agile ceremonies and backlog structuring.
- Data literacy: ability to translate business rules into validation logic for a data engineering team.
- Proficiency in process mapping and data flow diagramming.
- Fluency in English (B2+), with experience working directly with business stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to ERP systems such as Infor SyteLine, or experience with manufacturing and operations data.
- Background in a regulated industry (medical device, pharma, or a similar ISO-governed environment).
- Familiarity with process mapping tools such as BPMN.
