Mission Technologies, a Division of HII, is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support a Modeling, Simulation, and Training team at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center - Nellis (JITTC-N), Nellis, AFB, NV. The individual's primary responsibility would be providing Linux System support to a team of engineers, Subject Matter Experts, and Pilots.

Maintain continuous operation of multi-user Linux computer systems to ensure team can effectively support the mission. This will include, but are not limited to:

• Setting up administrator and service accounts.
• Installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space.
• Performing configuration and troubleshooting of systems which may be desktop and/or server based.
• Optimizes system operation and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
• Aide users in accessing and using systems.
• Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
• Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
• Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
• Maintaining system documentation.

• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
• Experience with LINUX system administration
• Work Environment: Position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required. Must be capable of working morning and evening shifts to accommodate flexible schedule training operations.
• Clearance: DoD Top Secret security clearance.

• Certifications: Linux+ and Security+
• Experience in Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) preferably as a System Administrator.
• Preferred experience would be maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems.

Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the Systems Analyst discipline.
