What You’ll Do:
As a Jira Administrator, you will be responsible to manage, optimise, and support the company’s Jira and Atlassian environment, ensuring efficient workflows, seamless collaboration, and reliable systems that enable teams across the Forex organisation to operate effectively and meet regulatory, operational, and business objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
Job Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and maintain Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence across multiple teams.
- Create and manage Jira projects, workflows, screens, fields, permissions, and notification schemes.
- Develop and optimize automation rules to improve operational efficiency.
- Implement best-practice governance and ensure system integrity, performance, and scalability.
- Support cross-functional departments including IT, Risk, Compliance, Marketing, and Trading with Jira solutions tailored to business needs.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and filters for stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Troubleshoot user issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide recommendations for long-term solutions.
- Lead upgrades, integrations, and migrations related to Atlassian tools.
- Train users and promote adoption of Jira and Confluence best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams on process design, continuous improvement, and workflow standardization.
Education/Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Technology, or a related field (Master’s is a plus).
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Jira Administrator or Atlassian Tools Specialist.
- Experience working in financial services, fintech, or Forex/CFD trading environments is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and SDLC processes.
- Solid analytical mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into Jira solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Atlassian certifications (ACP-120 Jira Administration, ACP-620 Managing Jira Projects) are highly desirable.
Tools and Software needed:
- Atlassian Suite: Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Opsgenie.
- Automation & Scripting: Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, Groovy (preferred).
- Integration Tools: REST APIs, Webhooks, Zapier, Workato, or similar integration platforms.
- Directory & Access Management: Jira permissions, groups, roles; integration with LDAP/SSO/Okta/Active Directory.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Jira Reports, eazyBI, Tableau/Power BI (nice to have).
- Hosting Environments: Jira Cloud (required), Jira Data Center (bonus).
- DevOps / CI/CD familiarity: Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab, Bamboo, Jenkins (advantage).
- General Tech Skills: SQL basics, JSON, workflow design, issue lifecycle management.
