At Alcoa, you will become part of a company that is transforming the future of the aluminum industry through innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Senior Manager – Alumina Plant to join our leadership team in San Ciprián, Spain.
In this role, you will be a key member of the site management team, leading maintenance and reliability strategies that ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations while supporting the site's long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a member of the location leadership team, promoting a strong safety culture and effective collaboration across all operational areas.
- Develop and execute maintenance and reliability strategies aligned with site and business objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop a large maintenance organization, fostering accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Own and manage departmental budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
- Establish strategic goals and operational plans, monitor performance, and drive corrective actions when necessary.
- Improve equipment reliability, asset performance, and operational effectiveness through best-in-class maintenance practices.
- Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and understand customer requirements to support business success.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, productivity, reliability, and operational excellence.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading maintenance operations and managing large teams within heavy industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong experience in maintenance management, reliability engineering, asset performance, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven leadership capability with the ability to influence, engage, and develop teams.
- Experience managing budgets and delivering operational results.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
