Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled JD Edwards (JDE) Finance Consultant with 6 to 12 years of hands-on experience in implementing and supporting JD Edwards Finance modules. The ideal candidate should have extensive expertise in core financial modules such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and Fixed Assets (FA) in a multi-currency environment. You will play a key role in designing, configuring, and supporting JDE Finance solutions and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. JDE Finance Implementation & Support:

    • Work as a key team member or lead on JD Edwards Finance implementation and support projects.
    • Implement and configure JD Edwards Finance modules, including AP, AR, GL, and FA, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
    • Lead or contribute to project activities such as fit-gap analysis, as-is and to-be business process design, design workshops, and functional configuration.
  2. Financial Accounting & System Integration:

    • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Automated Accounting Instructions (AAIs) and Distribution/Manufacturing Automated Accounting Instructions (DMAAIs) to manage financial processes and accounting rules.
    • Provide expertise in multi-currency environments, ensuring accurate financial reporting and transaction handling across currencies.
    • Knowledge of product costing and manufacturing accounting is a plus, ensuring financial integration with production and supply chain processes.
    • Collaborate on the integration of payables and receivables with other modules and external systems to ensure seamless financial data flows.
  3. Data Conversion & Interface Design:

    • Lead or contribute to data conversions from legacy systems to JD Edwards Finance modules, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
    • Design and build interfaces between JD Edwards Finance and other systems, facilitating data exchanges between AP, AR, GL, FA, and external sources.
  4. Business Process Design & Documentation:

    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
    • Lead fit-gap analysis sessions to identify differences between current processes and JD Edwards capabilities.
    • Develop detailed functional designs, configurations, and business process enhancements based on project requirements.
    • Conduct Conference Room Pilots (CRPs) to validate system designs and configurations with key users.
  5. Testing & Cutover Support:

    • Develop test cases, execute unit and system testing, and work with business users on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure system performance meets expectations.
    • Support the cutover process during go-live, ensuring a smooth transition of financial data and processes to the new system.
  6. Client Collaboration & Leadership:

    • Collaborate with clients to enhance their financial processes, suggesting and implementing business process improvements.
    • Demonstrate leadership capabilities by taking ownership of key financial workstreams, driving project success.
    • Experience working with North American clients is preferred, with an understanding of local business processes and regulatory requirements.
  7. Onsite-Offshore Model Experience:

    • Exposure to the onsite-offshore delivery model is essential, with the ability to coordinate between different teams across multiple geographies.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between offshore development teams and onshore business stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: 6 to 12 years of experience working with JD Edwards Finance modules (AP, AR, GL, FA) in implementation and support projects.
  • JDE Finance Expertise: Strong knowledge of JD Edwards AAIs and DMAAIs is mandatory. Experience with product costing and manufacturing accounting is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience in multi-currency financial environments.
    • Ability to work independently on data conversions and interface design for financial modules.
    • Strong understanding of financial integration processes for payables, receivables, and other financial operations.
  • Project Experience: Proven experience in leading key activities such as fit-gap analysis, business process design, CRPs, configuration, testing, and cutover support.
  • Client Management: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients on process enhancements and project delivery.
  • Industry Knowledge: Process expertise in at least one industry sector (e.g., manufacturing, retail, distribution, etc.) is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or Accounting.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience leading a complete workstream in JD Edwards Finance implementations.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards Orchestrator and other JDE integration tools.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards 9.2 version and its latest functionalities.
  • Certification in JD Edwards Finance is a plus.
  • Experience with other JD Edwards modules such as Manufacturing or Distribution.
