Amentum is currently seeking a JavaScript Developer to support an IT Managed Services program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems.
As a member of the team, you will:
- Develop high-performance web applications using Javscript(React, Vue.js, Node)
- Work closely with customers and end-users to define and document application requirements;
- Test, debug, and refactor frontend and backend web application code;
- Translate detailed design into application systems;
- Test, debug, and refine applications to produce the required product;
- Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation; enhance applications to improve performance and add functionality;
- Provide interactive issue troubleshooting, following user issue tickets through to resolution, documenting resolutions in a knowledge base, and working with application and system owners to identify advanced solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience OR an Associates degree and 5 years of experience OR a High School degree/ GED and 8 years of experience OR equivalent.
- Related experience can be substituted for relevant education and vice versa.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Clearance.
- Experience with software engineering standard methodologies
- Experience with Linux, Mac or MS-Windows operating systems
- Experience with some or all of the following: Javascript (pre-ES6 and ES6/7), React, Next.js, Node, HTML/CSS, Git, MySQL, SQL, MongoDB
- Familiar with testing frameworks(Jest, Playwright)
- Experience with automation, orchestration, continuous integration, and continuous delivery including tools such as Docker, GitLab CI, Openshift
- Testing, debugging, and refactoring frontend and backend web application code
- Virtualization and cloud technologies
- Migrating from conventional deployments to continuous integration/continuous deployment
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify creative solutions
- Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and motivated to continuously improve processes and skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and prioritization skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills and apply detailed data into useful information, such as documentation and developing policies, processes and procedures
- Ability to work independently and within a team
