This role is for a Java Technical Lead with a deep understanding of private banking modules, also acting as a senior developer for Asia Satellite applications.

YOUR CHALLENGE

kEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION

  • Lead the implementation of Java based applications across various private banking domain such as Client Pricing, Portfolio Access Management.
  • Application ownership, managing Operational aspects such as technical upgrades, critical production issues, technical improvements etc.
  • Manage a team of developers, coach and guide them. Interact with software vendors.
  • Passionate about technologies, building robust and scalable interfaces and local developments
  • Hands on experience in analysis, design, coding, and implementation of complex and custom-built solution
  • Work collaboratively with team to achieve goals. Experience working in a Safe Agile environment
  • Drive and review technical and architectural design, enforce architectural guidelines and challenge status quo
  • Stake holder management – working closely with program stakeholders, business change engineers, and project managers to drive and manage IT delivery. Single point of contact for Product owners and business users.

Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management

  • Take responsibility for ensuring that risks and issues are identified and managed closely and delivered on time and to the required quality standards
  • Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

YOUR PROFILE

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

Professional

  • Minimum 15 years of development experience in Front-end applications, programming languages and back-end queries.
  • Well organized and ability to prioritise and carry out multiple tasks. Able to influence and drive projects to meet key milestones and overcome challenges.
  • Minimum 3 years of a team lead experience
  • Able to translate functional requirements to efficient and fit-for-purpose technical solutions
  • Preferably, have experience in finance/ banking / Wealth management domain
  • Communicate highly technical issues to non-technical audience
  • Understand business / system requirements and translate them into technical solutions that are scalable, stable, and fit for purpose.
  • Ensure adherence to the bank standards (including code, security and performance)
  • Work collaboratively with team to achieve goals. Experience working in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, and/or Extreme programming

Technical

  • Strong knowledge on Java, JBOSS and Spring boot, Hibernate frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge on Service oriented architecture, RESTful services
  • Strong computer science knowledge (algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design)
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization, streaming using Kafka, Avro schema and React JS
  • Good knowledge of SQL (MySQL, Oracle, Postgres etc.)
  • Working knowledge of GITLAB repositories, Maven, Octopus, CI / CD pipeline
  • Exposure to cloud platforms would be an advantage
  • Basic Linux shell scripting commands
  • Familiarity with Intellij, SonarQube/SonarLint
