We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join us at Telia.
I am Mantas Šegžda, Head of Integration TechOps team in Lithuania and looking for Java Software Engineer who can work across backend and frontend and is very comfortable using modern AI‑assisted development tools.
TechOps team collaborates internationally with experienced colleagues and partners, who have built and currently maintain the Service Hub - Telia’s internal integration and feature add-on platform.
What you’ll do:
You will work across full stack (except infrastructure) feature development, system integrations, and operational readiness, ensuring smooth migrations and high‑quality deliverables. This role involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and customer‑focused software.
You will use modern AI‑powered development tools such as Enterprise GitHub Copilot, agentic workflows, automation assistants. We will encourage experimentation with new AI capabilities and when successful you will help team adopt them to boost everyone’s productivity and flow.
Our main tech stack includes, but is not limited to:
Backend: Java 21/23, Spring Boot, Java EE (Jakarta EE), WildFly.
Frontend: Angular 18+, TypeScript, RxJS, Node.js.
Architecture and APIs: Microservices Architecture, REST APIs.
Data and processing: MySQL, Hibernate Search, Spring Batch.
Tests: JUnit Jupiter (JUnit 5), Mockito, Spring Boot Test, Testcontainers.
Infrastructure and deployment: Docker, GitHub Actions for CI/CD & IaC, Helm, Kubernetes.
Additional technologies: SIP Protocol (Jain SIP in some microservices), Kotlin (legacy backend support), Quarkus & Vert.x (for some services).
What will help you thrive in this role:

Professional experience (4+ years) in Java software development.
Proven expertise in microservices architecture, API development and knowledge of relational databases and data processing.
Proficiency in software testing methodologies and frameworks including those applicable for containerized environments.
Experience in AI-powered engineering, such as Enterprise GitHub Copilot, agentic coding and automation flows.
Proficiency in English language (verbal and written).

Monthly salary range for this position 3600 - 5400 Eur (gross) + annual performance bonuses. The final offer may vary depending on skills and experience.
