As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Commercial and Investment Bank, Digital Enablement SRE team, involve the most complex and specialized technical issues that require expert-level knowledge. These activities typically include troubleshooting, problem analysis, and resolution of critical incidents, often involving deep dives into system architecture, code, or hardware. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Actively participate in an L3 activities by partnering with Production Management to support the DPS applications systems in terms of Availability, Stability and Performance. Acts as the final line of defense against complex technical issues, ensuring that critical systems and services remain operational and reliable.
- Execute software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting, with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or resolve technical problems.
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using these insights to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Create secure and high-quality production code, maintaining algorithms that operate synchronously with appropriate systems.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate the remediation of recurring issues to enhance the overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
- Engage with key stakeholders, understanding and aligning with business objectives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 5+ years applied experience
- Proficient in coding in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Rest API, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular JS/React JS and jQuery.
- Experience in container and container orchestration (e.g., ECS, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
- Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience in L3 (Level 3) activities as Deep-Dive Troubleshooting, Code-Level Debugging, System Architecture Review.
- Proficiency and experience in observability such as white and black box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, etc.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Tools used in Software Development(Jira, Git, Confluence , SourceTree , maven , Bitbucket, idea (IntelliJ) etc.)

- AWS Certification
- Exposure in Infra Engineering and Network Engineering
- Experience in banking or financial domain
