Everforth ECS is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join a team providing maintenance, operation, and sustainment support for Air Force Financial Systems Operations at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), OH. This is a hybrid position supporting both remotely and on-site at WPAFB.
In this role, you’ll perform Software Developer functions, including performing software design and development to support current software operations.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience with web application development on AWS using JSP and Java, along with knowledge of PL/SQL, and familiarity and experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, Lambda, Beanstalk, and RDS).
Specific tasks you will perform as a Java Software Developer include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure requirements are implemented in the code to sustain systems operations and administration which are included in the overall information systems planning.
- Responsible for the supporting software development, configuration, and integrity of computer software.
- Work with the security specialist to ensure all security controls are implemented.
- Consults with and advises other sections regarding internal controls and security procedures. Prepares activity and progress reports.
- Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems. Maintains currency and highest level of technical skill in field of expertise.
- Assist with testing and diagnose software issues.

- 2-4+ years’ software development experience
- BS in Computer Science or related field
- Strong knowledge of interpreting/drafting requirements in a technically proficient manner and providing technical advice on potential impact of new requirements on system sustainment
- Proven ability to design and develop software, technical reports, and system solutions.
- Experience developing with Oracle PL/SQL, JSP, Java, JavaScript, HTML, and Python.
- Experience coding APIs for other teams to access. Experience calling APIs via code and working with the results.
- Experience supporting various enterprise tools in a team environment.
